I am a member of Oak Harbor Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor, and we are connected to a Russian Lutheran Church in Kazan, Russia. We have visited them at their St. Katharina's fine, old church, and we love these people. The Bishop of the ELKA - the Russian Lutheran Church and his top assistant are coming to the Northwest in May of this year. Our whole Northwest Synod is celebrating them - they are newly elected - and the two of them are travelling to our Oak Harbor Lutheran Church in May - May the 13th. I should let you know that we in the Northwest have about 10 Sister churches in Russia. It is one of our mission concerns in the Northwest Synod. Our Kazan committee in our church want to gift them with a touch of the great Northwest, and it was out hope that you might be able to create two crosses with the Northwest design. I did call you this afternoon, but you were out. So, I am writing to you in hopes that you will call me or send me an e-mail. We do have a budget of $500.00 , and I hope that this is in your price range. I am really hoping that you might be interested in taking this commission and that you have the time to do this. Your work is beautiful. We have two pieces of Scott Jensen's work and two pieces of Courtney's jewelry. We love their work and their beings.
