They come through the area in a flock and flash their pretty orange feathers to announce that, yes indeed, Spring IS here at last! The Flicker, Spirit-Helper ring, a member of the woodpecker family is definitely a herald of spring. They are industrious and eager to remind us to get up and out to get that garden in the ground.
