Kingfisher sterling silver hand carved pendant represents one or should I say another of my favorite birds! We have several families of kingfishers living near us and love to watch them fishing. They are like jewels flitting about. I have seen one flying to the nest with 3 little fishes in its beak; saving energy no doubt. One of the things they do is jabber while flying, it is like they want everyone to know that they are passing by. They have a pattern of flight that is rather like a flicker in that they don’t achieve a steady gliding flight like a raven, it appears to be much more work, perhaps that is why they make so much noise. They seem to be saying “look look I’m flying!” I love having them around.
